Uzazi means parenthood in Swahili, the East African language. Uzazi represents todays woman, who looks to create a perfect balance between work and home. At meetings and conferences by day she still gives enough time to her children at home, deriving her energy from watching them grow.
Uzazi comprises of meticulously designed and rigorously fit-tested maternity clothes that can be worn both during and after pregnancy helping create a look as individual as the woman who wears them. We have everything mums-to-be need for their exciting new arrival like practical and extensive maternity collection and lingerie, nursery products, cosmetics and skin care products, to name a few.
As we are based in India, our designs are influenced by Indian Fashion styles. Our clothes are made from breathable, stretchable fabrics that will grow with you throughout the nine months of your pregnancy. In next 18 months, we plan to roll out 10 to 12 Exclusive Brand stores thru franchisee route in Pune, Mumbai, Northern Capital Region (New Delhi, Gurgaon etc), Hyderabad, Bangalore, and Chennai.
Also Uzazi will distribute its products through independent kids /women article stores, specialized mom & new born chain-stores and Shops in major department stores. As part of its expansion strategy, Uzazi is partnering with major department stores to market exclusive signature maternity apparel brands exclusive to their stores.
